JMCBO Fundraising

Warhawk Crew Fundraising

Warhawk Crew is a club sport that receives no financial support from Fairfax County Public Schools. It is 100% financed and managed through the James Madison Crew Boosters Organization, Inc. (“JMCBO”), a non-profit 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization. JMCBO is funded through a combination of membership dues, fundraising activities, sponsorships and fees collected for certain activities.

Active participation of all families in fundraising efforts helps pay for the club's operating expenses such as coaches' pay, insurance, and regatta fees, as well as capital investments such as boats and engines, and the repair and maintenance of these assets.

The money earned through fundraising pays for transportation, operational expenses, regatta fees, and all of our capital expenditures (i.e., new boats, oars, motors and all equipment).

The JCMBO asks that each family raise (or contribute) $1000/rower.

Families can easily meet these goals through various fundraising opportunities, including Scrip gift cards (available year-round), Fall raffle ticket sales, Winter/Spring mulch sales, securing corporate sponsors, making and collecting tax deductible donations and other events.
