James Madison Crew, affectionally known as 'Warhawk Crew or Mad Crew' is a northern Virginia rowing/crew program affiliated with the James Madison High School in Vienna, VA. It is a competitive, co-ed, lettered club sport program and the team is 100% financed and managed through the James Madison Crew Boosters Organization (JMCBO), a non-profit 501(c)3.

2024 SUMMER CAMP 

The James Madison High School (JMHS) Warhawk Crew Summer Camp Program is for rising 8th/9th grade students and all students must be part of the JMHS pyramid to participate. 

NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED!

Camp will run Monday, June 24 - Friday, June 28 from 8:30 am - 4:30 pm each day.  Camp will be at Madison on Monday as we learn about rowing technique on the ergs (rowing machines), and then Tuesday - Friday, campers will ride the bus down to our boathouse on the Occoquan to get out on the water!  The cost is $250 per camper, which will include professional instruction and transportation.

REGISTRATION IS OPEN NOW!

No special equipment is needed.  Just a water bottle, sunscreen, and a packed lunch for each day.  Snacks and water refills will be available.

SWIM TESTS 

If you're considering Crew, a swim test is required before going on the water for any activities (i.e., Learn-2-Row (L2R) 'Green-days', On-The-Water (OTW) Spring season practice, etc.). The actual test should only take about 5-10 minutes and includes laps and then a small-time treading water. Schedule a swim test by emailing Registrar@warhawkcrew.org.
