Novice Boats Rock the Occ!

Despite weather better suited for March than May and tough competition from around the DC Metro area, our novices showed their mettle and girls' 4 even took home medal. Click here for photos.

Our Novice Men's 8 rowed in the hardest heat in their class, beating both TC Williams and TJ, but unfortunately not BCC or last minute change Woodson. They looked great and should be proud of their effort.

Phx NW4 Coach and Crew.JPGOur Novice Women's 4, looked great in their heat, coming in second and advancing to the final. In the final they looked very strong coming in third after West Springfield and Mount Vernon. They proudly accepted their third place medals cheered on by damp but enthusiastic family and fellow rowers.

Thanks to all the rowers on the Men's and Women's upper boats for coming down to cheer and thanks to all our family and friends for braving the cold to cheer on our terrific novices. This fine showing proves there's great things ahead for Warhawk Crew in the years to come.
